The clutch portion of the combination engaged for the air pressure application where as engagement of the brake occurs in the absence of air pressure. Different models are available to stop and start either the pilot (sprocket) or the shaft. the clutch portion is used to transmit the motion when supply is given and the brake portion instantly stop the machanism giving accurate result for various application.
EXCEL SINGLE clutch combination consists of two ECBC-SS series clutches in a single housing and a single tandom shaft. ECBC-SSare manufactured considering the higher frequency of forwarding & reversing mechanics. A combination of clutches are used for reversing revolution of the driven member with driving member turning in one direction. Also combination of clutches are used to increase or decrease the speed during operation without stopping the driving member.. Load is being transferred either by the first or second clutch. At a time only one clutch gets engaged while other remains idle.

The torque capacity of transmission increases when the spring washer is tightened and vice versa. The same Torque Limiter can be used over a specific range of Torque. Friction liner are used to clamp either a sprocket, gear, sheave or flange plate and provides the resistance required.
